What is this role about?
The Inventory Management Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of inventory data, which directly affects product security, quality, and operational efficiency. By maintaining thorough records, monitoring variances, and addressing discrepancies quickly, the role helps prevent operational disruptions, minimize losses, and support regulatory compliance. Additionally, by maintaining high standards for safety and environmental practices, the role contributes to a safe work environment and helps the company meet its environmental and quality objectives, ultimately improving operational performance and risk management.
What will YOU do?
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of reports from the Loadingman, Oil Movement Personnel, and Additive Doper, posts data to the Inventory Management & Monitoring Template (IMMT) daily, and reviews entries for correctness by computing Gain/Loss performance and investigating discrepancies, escalating issues to the Terminal Officer/Head as necessary
Ensure compliance with record management standards by maintaining proper labeling and formatting for documents such as OSC_F_001, OSC_F_003, OSC_F_008, and OSC_F_002, preparing and filing records in an orderly manner with complete signatories, and acting as custodian for safekeeping while also preparing a summary of all records for efficient retrieval and tracking
Ensure compliance with the Document Control and Retention Policy by overseeing the safekeeping, disposal, and movement of Terminal/Depot-related documents, statutory permits, licenses, calibration certificates, and other records, coordinating with the Terminal Officer for equipment recalibration activities, monitoring retention periods, and ensuring all information is up to date and properly tracked according to the documents directory.
Act as the primary liaison between the local emergency response team, SPI HO staff, and the overall emergency commander, ensuring timely and accurate relay of information, coordinating throughout emergencies, and requesting assistance as needed, while maintaining an up-to-date list of emergency contacts, tracking events, and preparing records for review, investigations, or continuous improvement.
Review product issuance, inventory, and loaded product data, identifies variances and their causes, and reports discrepancies to the Terminal Officer, Supervisor, or Head for immediate corrective action, ensuring product security and quality.
Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, health, safety, and security objectives by adhering to safety protocols, wearing full PPE, maintaining a clean work area, securing drum caps/ball valves, and immediately reporting any issues related to additives, dye variances, defects in equipment, or incidents to the Foreman for timely resolution.
What will YOU need?
Open to fresh graduates - at least 2 years experience in the same role for non-engineering graduates
