What is this role about?
The LPG Terminal Operations Technician conducts frontline terminal operations such as truck weighing, LPG loading and unloading, tank gauging, product sampling, equipment monitoring, and assisting in vessel import receiving. The technician ensures all handling, measurements, and documentation are performed safely, accurately, and in compliance with operating procedures.
What will YOU do?
Conduct truck weighing procedures before and after loading/unloading to ensure compliance with weight limits and accurate product accountability
Perform truck loading and unloading operations in accordance with safety standards, SOPs, and LPG handling protocols
Ensure carry out daily tank measurements (manual and instrument-based) and assist in maintaining accurate stock inventory of bulk tanks and cylinders
Collect product samples from tanks, trucks, and vessels for quality assurance testing, ensuring correct sampling methods and documentation
Assist in vessel import receiving activities, including pressure/temperature checks, unloading line connections, and coordination with vessel crew and surveyors
Monitor and operate terminal equipment such as pumps, compressors, valves, emergency shutdown systems, and loading rack instrumentation
Prepare and complete operational documents, including loading logs, weight tickets, sampling sheets, tank gauging records, and incident reports
Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures—including PPE use, gas leak checks, equipment isolation, and emergency response protocols
Conduct routine housekeeping and equipment checks around loading racks, tank farms, pump rooms, and safety equipment areas to maintain terminal readiness
Report operational abnormalities, risks, or equipment issues to the Terminal Supervisor for immediate corrective action and continuous operational improvement
What will YOU need?
2 - 4 years of relevant employment experience
