What is this role about?
The Branch Accountant is responsible for overseeing financial operations, including preparing and analyzing financial reports, managing budgeting and forecasting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and collaborating with the General Manager to achieve the branch's financial goals.
What will YOU do?
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, and presenting key financial metrics to the General Manager.
- Interpret and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, assisting the management in making informed decisions.
- Review and recommend revisions to budget proposals, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and branch goals.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, financial control procedures, and regulatory requirements across the branch, maintaining accurate records.
- Coordinate with other departments to align financial data with operational activities, supporting seamless financial operations and business objectives.
- Supervise the processing of financial transactions, including taxes, audits, and operating costs, ensuring proper handling and adherence to company policies.
- Prepare regular financial reports on cash flow, expenses, revenue, and other key metrics, aiding in the financial planning and management of the branch.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to develop cost-control strategies and financial goals, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Support the budgeting process by analyzing past financial performance, projecting future financial needs, and recommending necessary adjustments.
- Lead financial forecasting efforts ensuring that forecasts are accurate and aligned with the branch's financial targets, while continuously monitoring performance.
What will YOU need?
- Certified Public Accountant - with at least 5 years of related employment experience
- Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with tax regulations
- Strong knowledge of financial software and ERP systems
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data, providing insights for decision-making
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and financial management tools
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with Philippine tax regulations and industry-specific financial practices
- Willing to be assigned in San Fernando and/or Bauang, La Union
